BASIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITES:
Supervises the operational aspects of the stables program including horseback riding, pony rides, carriage operation, corporate events, public relations, staffing, expense control, and sales; maximizing revenue while maintaining a high quality of safety and service. This person will respond quickly and appropriately to satisfy all guest and staff requests while promoting a positive and safe experience. The Stables Supervisor is an active member of the recreation team who responds to all issues of departmental concern within the framework of the operation of the total hotel.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
•Oversee daily operations of the stable in absence of Stable Manager including: staff, rides, reservations, accounting procedures, and animal care.
•Demonstrate competency as horseback rider with ability to mount horse from the ground.
•Arrive prepared, on time, and ready to work; maintain good attendance.
•Display good horsemanship and have a strong fundamental background in horse ailments, conditions, and traits.
•Demonstrate “Horse sense” and interpret herd behavior.
•Assess rider’s abilities and horse behaviors in response to riders’ actions.
•Maintain a structured working environment for staff.
•Supervise and train stables personnel.
•Ensure all riders have accurately signed waiver form and payment receipt.
•Communicate instructions clearly and effectively in an ever-changing/active situation that guests of any age can understand.
•Explain proper safety procedures during the mounting and dismounting process; accurately fit guests to their saddles, stirrups, helmets and other equipment.
•Tack or harness animals prior to (or at end of) carriage or trail ride, completing a safety check of the equipment every time and maintaining equipment condition and appearance.
•Organize horse and riders in trail (lineup) groups in an efficient and safe manner.
•Learn trail routes and historical/interesting facts about Mohonk Mountain House and the surrounding area.
•Encourage, display, and role model proper riding form at all times.
•Follow grooming, feeding/watering schedules for each animal.
•Dispense, inject (IV and IM), and apply prescribed medications and treatments to animals with accurate, detailed, record keeping.
•Detect and eliminate/reduce potential hazards from and around the trail system and barn area.
•Clean barn, riding arena, paddock, courtyard, and trail system using a golf cart or wagon.
•Lead horses to and from paddocks and riding arena, lead another horse while riding a horse.
•Lead trail rides and drive carriages for up to 3 consecutive hours.
•Lead pony ride for our guests as young as 2 years of age up and down moderate inclines.
•Load hay in/out of the hayloft of barn.
•Reach with hands and arms, bend, kneel, stoop, twist and flex arms, walk up and down stairs/inclines, sit, climb up/down ladders or stand for up to 5 hours at a time.
•Lift up to 75 pounds from ground level to waist level and carry a distance of up to 100 yards with/ without assistance. Walk up to 7 miles per day.
•See close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
•Work in a manner that will not endanger self or others.
•Handle stressful, noisy, crowded, distracting, and emergency situations calmly, with a level head; including situations involving heights or closed in areas.
•Work in a hot/cold climate for extended periods of time.
•Maintain a consistent attitude, cheerful, positive, and “can do”. Speak positively about Mohonk, guests, and coworkers.

•Oversee schedule of daily staff and assignment of riders to horses based on level of ride and skill of riders.
•Assist in scheduling of all stables business including; riding, carriages, private events; coordinates through the appropriate Mohonk departments including: Guest Services, Information Desk, Gatehouse, and Recreation.
•Lead daily staff shift briefing.
•Assist in evaluating staff during the appraisal process.
•Maintain the daily reservation books; create times with flexibility and knowledge of the regular scheduled daily offerings
QUALIFICATIONS:
•Valid Driver’s License and at least 21 years of age, or 20 years of age with at least two years of licensed driving experience.
•CHA certification a plus
•A.A. or B.S degree in Equine Science is helpful
•Minimum of 4 years experience in a public/private stables operation with a proven record of increasing responsibility
•Current standard First Aid and CPR preferred

What is a Senior Transmission Operator?
A Senior Transmission Operator (STO) provides management oversight of all aspects of the Company’s electric and natural gas transmission and distribution networks. A Senior Transmission Operator works on a rotating shift schedule and provides all aspects of supervision duties directly to the Engineering Group Operators and indirectly to the Customer Services Group Control Center Dispatchers, Call Center employees, and all field forces on-duty.
What does a Senior Transmission Operator do?
- Using independent judgment, supervises personnel engaged in the 24x7 operation of the electric and gas transmission systems and personnel engaged in the dispatch function in the Control Center and Contact Center after-hours including the approval or denial of requests for vacation, shift changes, personal/sick time, and other routine personnel matters. STOs also manage the progressive discipline process of direct reports up to and including suspension and/or discharge if necessary.
- Maintains the Operator shift schedules in tandem with the Director – Distribution System Operations to ensure all shifts are adequately staffed; reviews and approves all direct reports’ timesheets and performs monthly timesheet audits.
- Performs training responsibilities for each assigned Operator; ensures that Operators are progressing to and maintaining full qualification, proficiency, and certification; provides periodic constructive feedback and monitors corrective actions
- Develops and maintains a thorough understanding of Operator requirements and expectations and ensures Operators strive to meet or exceed them
- Maintains proficiency with all FERC Standards of Conduct requirements and NERC Electric Reliability Standard requirements for all company registrations; maintains NERC Transmission Operator and DOT Operator Qualification certifications.
- Possesses a thorough understanding of the Electric and Gas Outage Coordination function including reliability assessments for real-time and contingency analysis; preparation, review, approval, and scheduling of all Transmission Switching and Valving Orders; develops real-time daily operating plans
- Possesses the ability to independently operate the electric and gas transmission systems, and takes an active leadership role during storm restoration and other emergency response activities
- Participates in the NYISO System Operations Advisory Subcommittee (SOAS) and the Restoration Working Group (RWG)
- Actively participates in operating meetings to promote a positive, engaged, results-driven work environment, and ensures teamwork and collaboration
- Continuously seeks out new process improvements/methods to improve operational performance and productivity

What does it take to be a Senior Transmission Operator?
Required:
- Associate’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical Science, or other technology related field with 1+ year of experience in control room operations, utility power plant operations, system protection, transmission planning, power systems engineering, military technical or nuclear training. In lieu of an associate’s degree, candidates with a high school diploma or equivalency degree and 3+ years of experience in the areas listed above will be considered
- Must be willing and available to work rotating shifts and successfully complete a personal risk assessment
- Must be able to achieve DOT Gas Operator Qualification in tasks 59, 60 & 70 within 3 months from hire date
- Must be able to achieve NERC Transmission Operator certification within 9 months from hire date and complete the System Operator Training Program within 12 months from hire date
- Proficiency with computers and computer applications (e.g. Microsoft Office, EMS/SCADA, Transmission Outage application, etc.)
- Strong interpersonal, planning, organizational, verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detail

This role is within the New Business – Estimating group. The Associate Estimating Supervisor is responsible for managing cost engineering and design of electric and gas distribution projects to support safe operation and maintenance of the Central Hudson distribution system.
What does an Associate Estimating Supervisor do?
- Plans, schedules, coordinates, supervises and monitors work assignments of the District Estimators and contract estimators
- Supervises the preparation of construction plans, specifications, estimates and work orders for the construction, extension, reinforcement, relocation, retirement and maintenance of gas and electric distribution facilities in the assigned area of responsibility

The primary duties of the Night Shift Supervisor will strive to achieve the production and
distribution objectives of the company using supervisory methods and coaching techniques. Is
responsible for warehouse training, developing warehouse personnel to ensure accurate, on
time, and damage free movement of product shipped out of the warehouse. Will help build a
team environment of well-trained employees. Employ excellent communication skills to facilitate
completion of night shift job duties. Follow and promote the accepted safety practices to
maintain a safe working environment. Emphasis will be placed on proper truck loading and
breakage and damaged product control ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Position will also learn the processes and serve as a back up to the night managers in the areas

work completion in the absence of the night shift Manager.

What is an Energy Policy & Regulation Program Manager?
The Energy Policy & Regulation team represents Central Hudson’s interests while navigating New York State’s fast-paced energy policy & regulatory environment. Areas of focus include clean energy deployment, transmission development, energy affordability, electric vehicles, natural gas transformation, and many others. This team participates in various workstreams related to the NY PSC, NYISO, FERC, NY Transmission Owners, and Joint Utilities of New York. The team is responsible for identifying risks and opportunities associated with key regulatory developments, pursuing strategies that are beneficial to the Company and its customers, coordinating with technical experts, fostering awareness across the organization, and positional alignment across various proceedings. The team regularly reports to and interacts with the Company’s senior leadership team.
What does an Energy Policy & Regulation Program Manager do?
- Identifies, reviews, and develops positions regarding developments at the NYPSC and FERC that materially impact our New York and FERC Jurisdictional Businesses. This requires communication and cooperation with other utilities, attorneys, and internal departments’ subject matter experts.
- Identifies key themes and potential impacts from emerging energy policy; provide regulatory analysis and assistance to other areas within the company (e.g. Engineering, Operations, Legal, Public Relations, and CH subsidiaries)
- Prepares, maintains and submits written information on regulatory proceedings and external meetings in order to ensure internal stakeholders are kept up to date with relevant policies, processes and programs.
- Performs research on state and federal regulatory policies and filings in order to support the company’s position in its regulatory filings; work with internal business partners to translate their needs into regulatory strategy
- Develops and implements studies to support regulatory, tariff, and pricing proposals in the context of filings, stakeholder presentations, and other regulatory proceedings.

What does it take to be an Energy Policy & Regulation Program Manager?
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, economics, engineering, legal studies, or a related field. Equivalent of education and experience may be considered
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the ability to learn new computer software programs quickly.
- Familiarity and/or knowledge of Central Hudson’s business operations and practices
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask, juggle priorities, navigate complex situations, and use good judgment

- Works with and is tasked with assignments by other internal legal counsel on matters relating to litigations and claims.

BASIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepares and serves beverages and/or food to guests in a friendly, courteous and timely and manner, resulting in guest satisfaction. Prepares beverages for other servers to supply to guests, and act as cashier for the outlet.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
•Perform a variety of tasks related to beverage service, including the control and limit of waste, and the filling out of requisitions as needed.
•Maintain proper and adequate set-up of bar. This includes requisitioning and stocking of all beer, wine, spirits, glassware, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments and produce based on projections from the daily functions sheet and transporting required items from storage area to appropriate work station.
•Maintain stock, cut, and store all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables daily to insure product quality.
•Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner, promote and document orders for drinks. Mix, garnish and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes and practicing prudent portion control.
•Input orders into the point of sale and create a check for each guest, to maintain accountability of all beverages served. Ensure proper check handling and posting procedures (including handling of cash transactions).
•Receive cash from guests, make change as needed, verify validity of charges, record charges, and insure vouchers are properly executed, in order to balance all monies.
•Maintain confidentiality of guests’ personal information and use with discretion.
•Lock up and store all beverage, food and other equipment items, deposit cash drops and secure bank.
•Maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by New York State Alcohol Beverage Control Laws as well as Mohonk Mountain House Mountain House Alcohol Beverage Policy.
•Maintain complete knowledge of all beverage items, method of preparation, garnish, and method of presentation, as well as equipment and tools.
•Provide recommendations and suggestions aimed at enhancing the satisfaction of diners, such as recommendations about wine pairings.
•Open wine bottles and champagne table-side with waiter’s corkscrew, and present to guests.
•Negotiate stairs up and down while carrying full trays.
•Work under crowded and noisy conditions and navigate around guests with loaded trays.
•Provide proper service while serving wines and champagne, and have thorough knowledge of cocktails, spirits, and beer- including local selections.
•Ensure all guests that are served or who consume alcohol are at least 21 years of age. Check photo identifications of any guests whose age is questionable.
•Make a reasonable effort within the guidelines of the law to prevent intoxication in guests, prevent the serving of alcoholic beverages to underage minors, or serving alcoholic beverages to guests who are visibly intoxicated.
•Provide food service to Carriage Lounge and Spirits on the Sunset customers as required and remain up-to-date on menu offerings and service standards.
•Complete opening and closing side duties as assigned.
•Maintain standards of cleanliness for all bar areas as established by supervisor.
•Take responsibility for Mohonk Mountain House Mountain House equipment and supplies. Prevent loss or abuse.
•Think clearly and maintain good coordination while providing swift beverage service to guests.
•Remain organized and politely attend to the needs of multiple guests at one time. Prioritize and manage time effectively.
•Perform basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and perform and record cash/credit transactions accurately.
•Follow management’s instructions and suggestions – verbal as well as written.
•Work productively and efficiently with or without supervision when performing routine tasks. Work independently and cohesively as part of the team.
•Adhere to Mohonk Mountain House’s Dress and Grooming Standards; presenting a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance and maintaining a positive, professional image to our customers. Wear required footwear as approved by Food and Beverage Department standards.
•Learn and successfully demonstrate the Mohonk Mountain House Service Steps with Service Strategies with guests and staff.
•Learn and retain knowledge of historical facts and information about Mohonk Mountain House.
•Maintain a flexible work schedule including days/nights, weekdays/weekends, holidays, and during peak periods of business.

•Lift up to 50 pounds from ground level to counter and carry a distance of up to 100 feet with/ without assistance. Walk up to 7 miles per day.
•Maneuver carts or dollies safely with loads up to 350 pounds up and down stairs, elevators, through passageways or outdoors up to 200 feet.
•See close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
•Act calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
•Analyze problems and develop and implement action plans to address problems.
•Taste sweet, sour, bitter, and salty and demonstrate a sense of smell.
QUALIFICATIONS:
•Valid Driver’s License and at least 21 years of age, or 20 years of age with at least two years of licensed driving experience.
•Previous bartending and wine service experience.
•TIPS or other state-recognized Alcohol Awareness Training Certification preferred

BASIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist the Tennis Professional with shop operations and court maintenance to maximize usage and revenue. Maintain a safe environment at the Shop. Rent bicycles and helmets to our guests by properly sizing and fitting for their bicycle ensuring their safety.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
•Record and coordinate all court and lesson reservations.
•Use a PC to process payment and implementation of data into a software program
•Responsible for all daily office procedures, such as answering the phone.
•Organize and run all social doubles mixers and events at the Tennis Courts when the Professional is not available.
•Fill-out guest voucher forms for all items purchased at the Shop.
•Operate the cash register to record all sales in the Shop.
•Operate the Ser-Ace golf cart in order to groom by sweeping and rolling the courts.
•Water the tennis courts as conditions demand.
•Apply calcium chloride to the court surface as conditions demand.
•Maintain a clean and orderly appearance of the interior of the Shop, Wheelworks Shop, the tennis courts, and the surrounding area.
•Fill water coolers on the tennis courts every day and empty trash cans on a daily basis.
•Recommend and sell merchandise in the shops.
•Communicate clearly and effectively with the Tennis Staff and other Mohonk service staff.
